Beauty Must-Haves for Spring 2009, Get the Nude Look

Foundation is where it starts and for spring, the key look is NUDE. Dior just launched Diorskin Nude Hydrating Glow Makeup SPF 10. This formula is incredibly versatile so apply a thin layer for sheer coverage. For a more flawless look, feel free to layer two coats on the cheeks, nose, and chin with a foundation brush in a patting motion. Follow this step with a thin layer a mineral powder all over to set the foundation in place. Our favorite thing about this foundation is that it actually gives the skin a glow with illuminating pigments.
If you are looking to create a vibrant glow, such as a Jennifer Lopez look, then here are two products that will do the job. Skinflash Radiance Booster pen will brighten the under-eyes. To give your face luminosity, it can also be used to highlight down the bridge of the nose and the roundest part of the chin where natural light or flash bulbs naturally hit the face. For even more glow, add Diorskin Shimmer
Powder. This powder is super fine and leaves the skin looking like satin. Next, apply a soft matte pink on the apples of the cheek to make you look younger and your skin look fresh. We suggest Shu Uemura’s Pink31 powder blush.
Eyes may look bare but creating the natural look actually does require a little effort. Use Incognito 5-Color Eyeshadow palette to even out the lids and to add subtle depth. If you are the purple or blue eye shadow enthusiast, don’t worry, you can still create the look. Use a black eyeliner, fill in the base of your lash line as close as possible to the white’s of your eyes. Then apply a steady line on top of your lash line. We highly recommend Bobbi Brown’s gel liner in a jar – one of
the few liners that resist smudging. Next, apply one coat of Diorshow Mascara and follow it with Iconic Mascara to imitate the look of faux lashes. When applying Iconic, make sure your give your lash a push and hold it there for 5 seconds to allow the formula to retain the curl.
Lastly, keep the lips sheer. Use Dior Glossy Lipliner in a shade that matches your natural lip color. Take your powder blush and dab on the lips for a matte lip pout. The liner will adhere to the powder, giving it staying power.
